We are seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded Business Development Director to accelerate growth of Microsoft Cloud, Data, and AI solutions across the market. This role is focused on identifying and converting new technology enabled transformation business opportunities by working across the Microsoft ecosystem , the PwC network and directly with clients . As a senior member of the Alliances & Sales team in the Netherlands and in close connection with the EMEA team , you will play a critical role in originating and progressing opportunities, collaborating with Microsoft account teams, PwC Partners, and Sector leaders to shape compelling solutions that address client challenges and deliver measurable outcomes. You will work with the leaders of the Microsoft Alliance and contribute to the wider Microsoft Alliance Target through origination of opportunities and p roviding presales and sales focus across the teams in PwC. Key responsibilities are: Drive new business growth by identifying , qualifying, and converting transformation opportunities enabled by Microsoft Cloud, Data, and AI solutions; Shape and accelerate joint value propositions and co-sell strategies with Microsoft account teams, technical specialists, and PwC stakeholders to address client priorities; Lead strategic sales pursuits from win strategy and proposal development through to client engagement and deal closure; Align Microsoft, PwC, and Alliance teams to progress priority opportunities and support effective execution; Leverage Microsoft partner programmes, incentives, and funding to strengthen opportunity development and enhance client value; Maintain robust pipeline discipline , ensuring accuracy in pipeline management, progression, and reporting; Build and maintain strong relationships across Microsoft and PwC to support long-term growth and collaboration. You recognize yourself in this We are looking for a high-performing sales professional with a strong track record in sales and business development of enterprise services enabled by Microsoft technology. The ideal candidate will bring: Over 10 years experience in selling Microsoft Cloud, Data, and AI solutions, with a deep understanding of Microsoft’s ecosystem and commercial frameworks.; Experience of working in and understanding the professional services or consulting environments; Proven ability to navigate complex, matrixed environments and collaborate across multiple stakeholders; Strong commercial acumen and a results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering client value and revenue growth; Excellent relationship building and influencing skills, particularly with senior stakeholders across both Microsoft and PwC; A proactive, entrepreneurial approach with the ability to identify and shape new opportunities with Microsoft and PwC; Full professional proficiency in both Dutch and English. In addition to these role-specific competencies, a Director at PwC: Holds an academic Master’s degree; Is analytically and conceptually strong, with the ability to translate complex challenges into clear commercial opportunities; Combines entrepreneurial drive with strong commercial acumen and execution power to identify , shape and grow new business opportunities; Brings a positive, opportunity-driven mindset and the ability to influence and realise innovative value propositions within PwC; Builds strong connections with clients and colleagues and collaborates effectively across teams; Demonstrates strong leadership, empathy and self-reflection, with the ambition to motivate teams and contribute to the development of others.
