Leads a team of experts, sets the standards for their expertise area and takes responsibility for developing, innovating and safeguarding knowledge in Compensation and Job Architecture. The team designs, builds, implements and owns people solutions in the area of Performance & Reward including Compensation, Rewards, and Global Job Architecture. The team The role is directly under the Global Head of Performance and Reward, part of the Management Team. Roles and responsibilities The following responsibilities are needed to be successful in this role Lead the development and evolution of ING's Performance & Reward team, ensuring compensation, rewards, and global job architecture solutions support the attraction, retention, and development of talent. Shape and implement reward and remuneration strategies, including annual review cycles, executive reward programs, and global compensation structures that balance business objectives, employee needs, regulatory requirements, and financial sustainability. Provide trusted strategic advice to senior leaders and governance bodies , building strong partnerships and influencing decisions on complex reward, performance, and workforce-related matters across multiple countries and cultures. Drive the design and implementation of policy frameworks , translating regulatory developments, market trends, and organizational priorities into practical, compliant, and future-ready solutions. Use data, market insights, and analytics to inform decision-making , providing clear recommendations and reporting that support strategic workforce, performance, and reward outcomes. Lead and develop a team of subject matter experts, setting the standards for excellence in Compensation and Job Architecture, safeguarding expertise, fostering innovation, and building a high-performing and collaborative culture.
