Position
Title: AI Technician (Assembly & Integration)
Employer: Airbus Defence and Space Netherlands
Location: Leiden / Oestgeest area
Working time: 40 hours per week
Role summary
You will assemble and integrate high‑tech aerospace hardware according to detailed work instructions and quality standards, working in a multidisciplinary team to contribute to the production and testing of advanced space systems.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble and integrate aerospace hardware following technical work instructions and quality procedures.
- Perform mechanical assembly activities with precision and accuracy.
- Use digital work instructions and production systems via tablets and other computer applications.
- Carry out inspections and ensure work meets aerospace quality standards.
- Identify and report technical deviations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians, engineers and the Team Leader to achieve project milestones.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in accordance with procedures.
- Support testing and integration activities where required.

- Eager to learn and motivated to work in the aerospace industry.
- Proactive, reliable and able to work independently when required.
- Comfortable working in a highly regulated production environment.
Requirements
- MBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an assembly or production environment.
- Experience within the aerospace industry or a comparable high‑tech manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience with digital production systems or tablets.
- Good command of Dutch and English, spoken and written.
- Available 40 hours per week and willing to work fully on‑site in Leiden.
- No freelance arrangements (employment via detavast/detachering as applicable).
